The Poultry in Motion™ Educational Mini Barn program is proud to provide comprehensive educational resources for students and educators alike. Our program supports students in meeting the many educational learning outcomes in science, social studies, health, lifestyle choices, and career education. Teachers can then further extend student learning with follow-up questions and discussions, writing, and even discuss how to create and enjoy a delicious chicken lunch—yum!

Learning Opportunities for Primary Students.
If you are searching for a way to excite and enrich student learning in a variety of subjects, the Poultry in Motion™ Educational Mini Barn activities may be the perfect solution. Poultry in Motion™ activities are designed for primary students from kindergarten to grade 3 but, of course, can be enjoyed by students of all levels!

Safari Man Dan will crack you up with his “Chicken Adventure” YouTube video. It describes the life cycle of our Canadian chickens from hatching egg to the chicken’s life on the broiler farm, under the dedicated care provided by our Canadian farmers.
Explore our online story and activity book, “The Chicks Are Coming“. This descriptive fun story and colouring book is about the chicks’ arrival to the farm. Students can engage and use their artistic skills to complete the pages online or by printing off a copy, it can be an enjoyable school or home activity.

Learning Opportunities for Intermediate Students.
The Poultry in Motion™ Educational Mini Barn program has learning opportunities to assist students in grades 4-7. The following resources are available for intermediate school students, though they can be useful for students and educators of all ages:
The “Sous Chef” Recipe booklet supports students understand the health benefits of eating chicken including how to prepare it in a variety of interesting and enjoyable ways.

Learning Opportunities for Secondary Students.
Poultry in Motion™ is committed to providing knowledge through various learning opportunities for students in secondary schools. These engagements support students and educators in their understanding of the chicken life cycle, basic needs of chickens, and mandatory chicken growing practices followed by our Chicken Farmers in Canada. The following resources are available:
Learn from our dedicated BC farmers, a BC hatching egg farmer and a broiler farmer. They provide virtual tours of their barns and tell their heartfelt stories of about their farm operations.
Through this learning opportunity, students will gain specific knowledge about how BC and Canadian chicken is grown and how students can prepare chicken meals with ease, using the tasty recipes provided. This learning opportunity includes practical hands-on lessons in the kitchen.
